A method for managing access on Windows 10 from a remote location
I'm searching for a system similar to netcafes but with a straightforward interface. The concept is to give each child a limited time slot for use, and remotely manage it via an app on your phone. You'd create admin accounts and separate ones for the kids, automatically logging them out when time ends so programs close. I've found the Windows account management to be slow and unresponsive, often leaving everything running even after time expires.
Use Remote Desktop to connect. After logging in with the kids/admin account, the system logs you out automatically and gives you complete access to manage Windows (including shutting it down). The login password ensures only you can restart the computer without permission.
Advanced group policies are handling this scenario. The focus is on embedded systems or adjustments to the Parental lock feature.
It could seem silly, but many Wi-Fi routers and access points offer a web-based interface to block specific MAC addresses without an internet connection. This method might be simpler. If they manage to spoof their MAC address, it shows they’re clever. For a basic way to restrict internet content, consider switching their DNS servers to a reliable filtering service.
