A matter of compatibility.
A matter of compatibility.
I envision a gaming setup that supports backward compatibility. Running patched Steam versions on a current operating system often leads to graphical glitches. For an ultimate gaming PC, you'd use virtual machines of older OSes to play those games. Concerning modern graphics cards: they might enhance visuals but could also cause problems if not properly configured. If issues arise, reassigning the virtual machines to different hardware should resolve them.
If there were any problems, you could place the drivers on a virtual machine directly without worrying about impacting other installed drivers.
You might want to place the drivers on a VM right away without worrying about impacting the latest ones.
