DRM becomes a concern only when it bothers the user. I believe developers have the right to safeguard themselves. As long as it doesn’t create problems for me, I’m fine with it. Most Steam games use DRM, but I’m comfortable because the offline feature now works well and I can access them from several PCs. I wasn’t aware of this before, thanks... it seems like a negative point.

He is upset about the cards that have increased his Steam wallet balance. It seems there’s an incentive for people who buy games to have a better chance of winning. This might sound like frustration, especially after someone ran out of money before the sale ended.

That's my job, and selling my cards has likely brought in around $15 or more (including all the regular ones, not just the holiday ones)

Many should stop trying to protect Valve. The DRM on Steam can make it hard to enjoy your games if anyone ever saw hacking as a fun challenge. Or if GabeN decides he’s had enough and joins another group. With my music and games available on both cart and disc, I’m confident I’ll always have a copy. I’ve fixed most of my discs and can repair my cart, so data loss isn’t a big worry. Apple no longer uses DRM on their music because fans pushed for it to stop. Same principle Linus advises—check at least once a month.
