Hey there, I faced a tough start to my day with my PC struggling to boot. It ended up showing blue screens and slow performance during startup. When trying to install new drivers, it crashed completely, which made me suspect the Gigabyte Windforce 4070 was damaged. Testing it on another machine confirmed the same problems. Now I’m unsure what to do next.

Run a fresh install of the graphics drivers and check the results. Sudden power cuts and system crashes may damage the drivers, making a clean reset likely to resolve the issue for your friend.

I removed the device and verified the driver removal settings. Would this be sufficient?

It might help to use a DDU. It clears all remnants and files from earlier GPU drivers. This is considered the top choice.

Great! Stay tuned for updates. You're welcome to follow this for a DDU guide. I may reply later if you message soon. It's 2 AM in Norway, and it's been a long week—time for bed.

DDU and the PC continue to fail. The recommended actions are to perform a Windows wipe.

It might be better to skip all the extra steps and go straight for the best solution. Yes, consider reinstalling Windows completely. Since you performed a DDU, the drivers should already be clean. That’s an unusual situation—I’ll think it over more tomorrow. It’s 2 AM and I need some rest. I’ll get back to you later.

Yes, clearing the windows via the reset option is sufficient.
