Ensure your W10 setup is tidy and free from unnecessary software, then install the chipset and GPU drivers. Verify in the BIOS that your RAM is operating at the XMP configuration, and monitor temperatures during gameplay. Also confirm your monitor supports the maximum refresh rate; sometimes drivers set it to 60Hz by default, so adjust it to 144 in Nvidia Settings.
it's unclear how to verify that. does it indicate anything about that?
My games are performing better lately. Black Ops 4 runs smoother, especially on the map I tested, with minimal input lag. Modern Warfare also seems to work better on the map I tried, with almost no lag. Watch Dogs appears to run more consistently too. Rust is still struggling to run smoothly, though I'm getting around 80-120 FPS, which feels choppy and laggy.
That's just Rust, right? Badly optimized games still feel choppy even with overkill hardware.
