I began exploring Final Fantasy XIV: ARR and have found it quite engaging. It offers a 14-day trial on Steam or a direct download from their site. The game supports multiple platforms, allowing PS4 owners to play alongside PC users. The PS4 edition includes keyboard and mouse functionality or lets you use a controller with an external keyboard for typing. Those who enjoy Final Fantasy titles might appreciate this one.

I've been playing WoW since launch until midway through the Cataclysm cycle, and I'm really enjoying FFXIV more than ever.

F2P picks include:
- Wildstar offers engaging battles and a decent storyline alongside its quests.
- Vindictus delivers top-tier combat reminiscent of Dark Souls, with impressive bosses; the narrative is weak at first but improves.
- Guild Wars 2 is a trusted title, widely recognized, though not an MMO in the traditional sense.
- Warframe blends space ninjas, robots, and mutated creatures, featuring a solid perk system; most content is cosmetic with optional purchases.
- ArcheAge presents mixed emotions; it contains pay-to-win mechanics, though its lore remains compelling.
- Elder Scrolls Online receives mixed reviews, with some noting its MMO aspects but overall poor quality.

P2P selections:
- WoW remains a classic, appreciated for its deep lore and combat, despite personal dislike of the fight.
- RuneScape is largely seen as a small-scale experience; its F2P version feels restrictive and repetitive.
- Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn is a reworked attempt at the original, offering balanced gameplay, engaging bosses, and memorable lore.
- Others mentioned include Lineage II with its Korean-style challenges and Black Desert known for character customization, though the latter often involves excessive grinding.

I recommend black desert, blade and soul for the action alone. Vindictus works too until they drop. Warframe isn't an MMORPG, I'm not sure why it's being talked about.

Not quite, it's the redone version of FFXIV 1.0, the FFXI is a completely another MMO. FFXIV: A Realm Reborn is 2.0, and FFXIV: Heavensward is 3.0 (that's the expansion pack, and a properly done one at that). Also, as I said many times, I can only give recommendations for that game, one of the best communities there is, lots of stuf to do, especially if you're into crafting. In that case you're in for some hard work, but it's rewarding. Don't worry, there is also a lot of fighting. I've been playing it since Beta 4 and if you can, try it. Sadly, had to take a break 2 months ago due to work/college. But I'll be back.
