I don't believe you're correct about needing a different setup for your PC. Even if you reach out to phone support from Windows, it's not accurate to say it's just an upgrade when all components are completely new. Back then, calling support was typical for installation problems with individual PC parts.

The "Reset this PC" feature in Windows mainly acts like a way to return to the original setup of Windows 10. It doesn’t fully replace everything but lets you revert to a clean state. I haven’t personally used it during hardware changes, though there are potential downsides—proceed with caution. Still, I support the advice I gave earlier.
