A fresh machine is almost set up for Star Citizen! 😊
I just finished building a new computer, have been really busy with life stuff, but at some point am going finish getting the initial stuff installed on it and finish setting it up. I'm probably going to get the $60 deal. Any words of wisdom from experienced SC gamers for someone just starting out in it?
Yes, I know 3.0 will be the official version. It’s also being reported that the price might increase at launch, making an early purchase potentially more economical. I’m curious about the exact timeline for reaching 3.0.
It's the chance to travel through space and discover new worlds that really excites me. Do you know if the game will come out around version 3.0?
The estimated release in 2017 was around 2.6, which is nearly accurate.
Consider taking a pledge if you need to or feel inclined to support early development. Keep it simple—don’t go for the biggest option right away. Start with one of the starter packages, especially those from Squadron 42. Play through the alpha phase to get a sense of the game and decide whether to invest more or stick with your initial choice. An Aurora or Mustang works well as a starting ship. If none of this resonates, wait until version 3.0 and reassess.
To get a clear picture, start with a few people who have invested a lot of money in the game. They’re open to letting you try their ships. Join us on Discord at https://discord.gg/QawgNBh for more answers and to connect with the community!
