A drop of water landed on the CPU.
Hi everyone, I accidentally dropped water on the GPU slot and also on the GPU itself. Once it dried, I turned everything off, cleaned the slots, and then reconnected everything. When I switched it back on, all components worked fine except for the GPU, which didn’t show any output signal but the fan was running. Could someone please help me?
It seems like a GPU has died, which explains why liquids should be kept away from the device.
It’s better not to have activated it in between; the standard is to switch it off quickly and let it dry fully while waiting.
It's understandable to feel frustrated, but things appear stable now. It seems like the issue might still be present, though the GPU isn't showing any output signals at the moment. You're doing your best during these challenging times.
It happened while I was spilling something. I quickly turned off all devices and dried myself. After 30 minutes, I restarted, but everything is fine—even the GPU is working, though there’s no output signal from it to the monitor. Ya, that must be my mistake. Still, everything seems okay now, and it’s running without any output from my GPU. It’s really tough to do anything during this quarantine.
