Maybe use some scripts or simply gather as many clip art as you need.
It's risky, as it doesn't ensure you're editing what you intended. The program won't limit itself to where you want changes; it operates at a lower level than the OS, bypassing its APIs for disk writes. This means they can alter your files without your control.
Not everyone enjoys 80s commercial tunes and intense machinery sounds.
For a full disk wipe, I’d recommend DBAN. If you’re deleting a bunch of files while keeping the system running, it’ll be extremely difficult to remove everything completely.
doing a full drive wipe isn’t the best idea and I’m confused about the sarcasm, but shredders don’t rely on zeroes. My previous point remains true—either you get 1TB of gifs and wait a long time, or you opt for a shredder.
Current hard drive platters are so packed that previous data is invisible. Yes, it functioned on older disks, but not with today’s ones. The process was expensive too. Why bother? If you only aim to erase it for resale, the fastest method is overwriting with zeros. Filling sectors with zeros is just like storing images there. The command I shared remains the most effective option discussed here. DBAN employs a similar approach but offers a simpler menu.
