Recommendations:
1) Play zDoom – it supports Doom games via the Quake engine, improving mouse control.
2) Increase the violence to Ultra-violence. Nightmare is an option but feels forced and leads to frustration.
3) Discard Doom 1 and Doom 2 entirely. Use the "Final Doom" pack and try T.N.T Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment at Ultra-violence. Enjoy the challenge!
