Someone checked out The Evil Within and saw it for around $12 on Greenmangaming. It seems to be a solid PC version. My overall impression is positive about the game.
It's a decent experience similar to what you enjoyed in RE4, though it wasn't fully appreciated at first. The graphics aren't top-notch, and the frame rate drops to around 40fps even when using 1080p in full screen.
This game is really frustrating but in a funny way... it's terrible yet enjoyable. I never completed it because I just couldn't finish it. Not because I'm not able to, but because I didn't want to. You're going to like it or dislike it—no one can say for sure if it's good. I might have liked it more if it wasn't priced the way it was.
It hasn't been tried yet, but it seems enjoyable, though the performance is quite poor.
