Router: FIOS 3100 Switches
PCs: Three older machines with Intel i5 4670 processors, running Windows 10
Note: Windows 10 was recently reinstalled on all three devices, clearing the C drives and starting fresh. Once connected to the same Netgear Switch, they initially boot up and access the internet. When all three are active at once (not immediately), other PCs linked from different switches lose connectivity. Later, when one older PC boots, the Netgear Switch 3 shuts down, indicating power loss but no internet. Once switched off, the Netgear Switch 4 reconnects and one of the older PCs appears operational. The issue seems to stem from a recent Windows update in 2021, possibly affecting switch communication.

Possible solutions:
- Disconnect and restart the three older PCs.
- Replace or reconfigure the Netgear Switch 4.
- Reboot the router and reassign switch connections.
- If persistent, consider a hardware reset or contact support for switch compatibility.

Let me visualize it simply. Yes, I can create a network diagram for what you described.

Confirmed, there are many switches involved. Is QoS enabled on them? It could assume a PC is gaming and shift bandwidth accordingly. This scenario feels quite unusual. Are the switches in good condition? The unpredictable nature of the issue leads me to suspect a sporadic hardware problem. Running tests one switch at a time in the network might clarify if the issue remains.
