You're heading into Witcher 3 and just wrapped up Witcher 1. Are those DLCs really worth your time? Do they fit the story or feel like a waste? Also, I was feeling bored with the main game—only enjoyed the early and final parts.

There's DLC for it? I did the same, Witcher 1 was terrible, 2 was pretty good, and 3 is pretty great. I don't feel like I missed anything, although that might also be because I didn't know it existed. Edit I played the Enhanced/directors edition which I guess includes the DLC, which is some side missions and community content? It's a little weird, but unless you played the absolute original, and even then, I wouldn't worry about it. None of it's any better than the main game.

yep! theres actually 2 full expansions that each have as much content as many newer triple-A titles. "Hearts of Stone", and "Blood and Wine" OP, while normally i'd highly suggest them, if you honestly didnt really enjoy the base game, it may not be worth your time. That being said, Hearts of Stone is only 10 bucks, Blood and Wine is only 20 normally. so if you see them on sale, i'd recommend getting it and trying it out. EDIT: i totally thought you were talking about just witcher 3, not the first one. i cant say anything about the first 2 games, since like you, i got bored of them. i never actually made it all the way through the first 2 games.

Sure, I understand you're referring to the first game. HOS was a concise narrative with a lower cost, though it mainly expands on the main DLC story. Blood and Wine brought a fresh region and about 30 hours of playtime. For Witcher 3 DLC, it's worth checking—it adds some content but isn't essential. There are mentions and appearances, and the ending in Blood and Wine feels fitting, though neither is mandatory.
