A comparison between Warface and Warframe.
A comparison between Warface and Warframe.
Warframe is genuinely enjoyable, though winning requires effort. You simply can't match someone who's invested in grinding without falling behind. Warface feels more like a casual arcade shooter. Both are fun enough to try, but I only enjoy them on a relaxed level.
Warframe offers an enjoyable experience when you enjoy collecting farming points. Warface falls short because it removed my soloplay feature, though I still recommend it. Remember, the pistol works best at close range—use crosshairs and aim for the head.
I played Warface and it's super chill. I kept getting spawned on a map every time and two players were in our group, wiping us out. My first match had me accused of cheating, but I'm way more accurate than most. The engine is solid with PhysX support, though the game feels way too easy and friendly—people can just camp spawns easily. The slide mechanic is overpowered; you don't have to worry about precise aiming, you can just spam slides and spray everywhere.
I was my very first in TDM and I competed on Warface, ending up first on the leaderboard.
Warframe is often compared to grinding, which is actually its core focus. You begin with almost nothing, travel across planets, and complete missions while gathering resources. These materials become the building blocks for crafting items and blueprints. For instance, you might purchase a blueprint for 25,000 credits—easily acquired—that outlines the needed components. You then head to the planet where those resources are stored, clearly marked on each world. Farming these resources is essential; it may seem tedious at first, but after about 20 hours you’ll be accumulating valuable assets and enjoying the benefits. Many say it’s worth it because you can buy platinum, which unlocks weapons instantly (though not always the best). However, the main goal remains farming and earning. Buying outright would quickly make the experience less enjoyable. The game is entirely about action, so give it a try—skip the early struggles and dive in; you’ll find it engaging.
These games are quite distinct. Warframe leans more toward cooperative and PvE experiences with a lot of repetitive tasks, while Warface offers a different style. You already played Warface, so you're familiar with it. If I had to choose, I'd definitely go with Warframe 100% of the time.
Another distinct game with a comparable title. Warframe offers an enjoyable experience and surpasses Warface in quality, though I wouldn't draw direct comparisons between them. A game akin to Warface (military shooter) is Blacklight Retribution. IT'S INCREDIBLY GREAT.
