I first experienced Windows 10 and started noticing some strange, unexplained occurrences... background tasks vanishing without notice. The foreground processes would shut down when I tried to close ShadowPlay, even though I had around 3 GB of RAM available. The worst came yesterday when Windows prompted me to end ShadowPlay in the background—limited to 1 GB RAM. Then Chrome crashed, Steam disappeared while a game ran in the background, and it panicked, insisting I perform CPR on Steam before closing it. My save file never updated with my progress. It’s really unsettling what we’re dealing with today. Who knows what Windows 10 is doing in the background? Maybe something like Hamachi when friends play a LAN game, or even worse, Bonzibuddy who’s lurking in the background. We need to stop this somehow. This is definitely a real story.

Clearly the NSA and Microsoft are attempting to highlight what they consider important research platforms.

I prefer apps to run quietly in the background rather than forcing me to shift my whole computer around, though perhaps that could change someday...

I was always aware they had cameras in my shower, but now it’s reaching a completely new stage

All computers I've interacted with running Windows 10 are performing just as well, if not better than those on older versions like 8.1 or 7. Those two threads seem to be rare cases, so the impacted individuals should reach out to Microsoft support for assistance.
