You're facing a tough choice between a high-performance mechanical setup and a cutting-edge VR headset. For your budget, focus on building a solid PC first—prioritize components that deliver reliability and value. Once you have that foundation, you can upgrade to the Oculus Rift later.
If it had been a Monitor with G-Sync or a VR headset, I would have faced more challenges choosing. However, because you had so many options in Option 1, it wouldn’t have been possible to include a VR headset while keeping important features like fast memory and good cooling. That’s why Option 1 remains the best choice.
Choose whatever fits your needs best. For me, a mechanical keyboard would be ideal (if you don’t already have one), and a VR headset could be nice if you’re into it. This decision mainly comes down to having enough RAM, not needing a monitor or water cooling.
Consider replacing the AIO with a drp4 or nh-d15 for identical results.
Do you think I’m suggesting you’re wasting your paycheck on a high-tech headset instead of supporting your household or covering your expenses?
