Try Play Demon's Souls followed by Dark Souls 1. DS2 is best suited for multiplayer, not ideal for solo play.

I have to agreed but I did have fun playing DS2 single player but Multiplayer with friends is awesome!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I loved the Fashion souls and I enjoyed some areas quite a bit (the 2nd DLC was awesome) but a lot of artificial difficulty is added. For me, DS1 will never be topped by another in the series. Best journey ever.
