My PC's temperature settings are configured for a 20°C ambient, which matches the typical house temperature throughout the year. However, it's currently at 33°C and expected to rise to 38°C soon. It might be a good idea to lower the clocks slightly to help cool things down, since the fans are already operating at their maximum capacity.

If the fans bothers you, then it's okay. If not and you're nowhere near TJmax limits, just skip it.

How are your component temperatures? If they reach 80°C during a 20°C day, you might need to adjust the clocks slightly.

Additionally in the UK, I've discovered the key aspect is managing the building's temperature. It's important to note that most UK homes are designed for cold conditions, not warmth. Therefore, our habits must adapt. I've noticed my home stays cooler by adopting techniques used in parts of France—like closing the windows. I use blackout shades to block out light, keeping the room temperature around 24°C despite an outside high of 31°C. I also keep the windows shut, though I'm unsure if that's as effective as recommended. It seems counterintuitive, but it works for me. I'd appreciate if media outlets provide accurate information and real research to guide us better.

My setup includes an AMD CPU and GPU, and I haven't adjusted voltage or clock speeds. Instead, I modify my usage—avoiding intense gaming sessions and keeping a second screen off unless absolutely necessary. When rendering videos, I wait until it's safe to turn off monitors and power down the screens. Even then, I don't experience significant temperature spikes.

Right now, after editing and rendering a short 1080p, non-HDR video in Davinci Resolve with two monitors and several open documents, the room is 24.7°C while the outside is 31.8°C. This is just one case, so I'm not claiming it's the only solution.
