Hello, I'm working with an i9 13900k and a NZXT Kraken 360mm water cooler. I've noticed the temperatures are quite high, possibly too high. During stress tests with Prime95, my CPU reaches 100°C, and when it hits that mark, the DRAM light activates and displays red on my motherboard. I'm puzzled as to why my CPU can't exceed 100°C—could it be a limit on how hot the sensors can detect? Also, during regular gaming, like playing GTA 5, my average CPU temperature is around 80°C. It seems unrelated to the fans or cooling setup; could the heatsink not fully contacting the CPU be the issue?

What issue? 105c marks the highest temperature before damage begins. Thus 100c represents the required thermal threshold. The 13900k isn't easily cooled with standard components.

Taking them in will definitely assist. Just be aware the kraken you’re dealing with isn’t built for a 13900k at stock. Make sure your board isn’t running an auto OC and then lower the CPU voltage. This should boost performance since it’ll operate within its thermal limits right now—it’s slowing down to avoid damage.
