It doesn't seem to work. Interestingly, the 9600k performs worse than the i7 6700k for gaming because it has two fewer threads.

Officially: It won't work. Unofficially: If you do some hardware hacking, you can potentially get that CPU to run on that board, but you'll risk killing both the CPU and Board in the process.
