Hello, here are your queries rephrased:

1. How can I UV this chip? I’ve found PBO Curve Optimizer works well, but is that the only option or are there better alternatives? I currently have a -20 setting in PBO curve and completed a 30-minute Cinebench stress test.

2. Are there additional stress tests you’d suggest beyond Cinebench? Or should I stick with what I have? Also, I noticed a sudden drop from -15 to -20—about 10 degrees, which surprised me. I was expecting a smaller change since it went from 0 to -15 at around -5°C. It’s strange, especially since you mentioned this is very basic and I’m new to AMD CPUs. P.S. My motherboard is the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice 1.1. Does this affect results?

That's all! PBO and Curve Optimizer are sufficient. I don't mind running stress tests much—they might flicker under full synthetic load but could be solid for gaming. A 30-minute Cinebench run is enough; just use the system normally. If you hit any problems, lower CO to -15 again. I tried -25 on both my 7700x and my current 9800X3D.

I personally use -30 CO on my AMD chips but not sure any real difference between -20, -25, -30. As above, you can do a +200 PBO as well. Just confirming that isn't much more to it, outside of setting artificial temp limits if you choose.

Thanks for the answers, I thought it was the final one but glad you confirmed. -25 also succeeded in Cinebench with stable temps between 79-80 Smile, planning to play some games now with Space Marine 2 to check performance before trying -30. At first 94°C was a worry, but UV handled it well—80 is much better. Thanks for the help; I won’t need an AIO anymore, saved about $100. The thermals are good with the AK620 Digital at 70% fan speed (1400RPM). Let me know if anyone wants to see more details.

Review for math mistakes carefully. Testing with Prime95 over night or extended periods helps identify issues. Errors here may lead to data loss during writing to the hard drive.

Yes, that's correct. You might succeed by setting lower values than -20; -30 or even lower could work. It's wise to verify stability over an extended period and consider scheduling a full 1+ hour Cinebench run soon. Alternatively, running a longer OCCT CPU test may provide better insights.

I descended to -25 degrees. The 30-minute Cinebench ran smoothly, 2 hours in Space Marine 2—intense on the CPU but no problems. I’ll look for a longer test when possible.

Update your sig, if that is the PC you updated to the 9800X3D. Or add it, there's room for more than 1 PC in there

That's the one i got ddr5 before the price hikes and got 9800x3d on sale recently, board came from outlet too saved 50$ on that, overall upgrade will cost me like 250$ after selling my current components, which i deem as worthwile investment since the platform will be relevant for zen6 and hopefully 7 too

You haven't identified whether your processor is generating calculation mistakes.
