I bought this item and learned it can reach high temperatures when first used. I’m wondering if overclocking the graphics card will significantly increase those temperatures. I understand it will, but reaching around 85 degrees would be concerning for some users.

Don't push it too hard, it's already powerful. Take it for a year on stock, then you can try overclocking. If you damage it in just one month, you'll be let down. I'm saying enjoy it for a while because it's currently one of the best cards.

PTOWN GAMER:
don't push it too hard, it's already powerful. Play it for a year with the stock settings, then you can try overclocking. If you break it in just one month, you'll be let down. I'm saying enjoy it now because it's currently one of the best options.
Overclocking won't damage the card if you're careful and understand what you're doing. Most cards are designed for overclocking and come with software that supports it.
