It's a brand new setup... I mentioned I was about to insert the CD key but got an error. The other idea is using the 120GB SSD if the 512GB doesn't work. It seems possible to install 4GB of RAM in Windows 98 after applying a patch. Whether to use it or not is still up for discussion. Updated March 29, 2021 by thrasher_565
This appears to be a request for a Win9x patch that allows up to 4GB RAM usage. It references a free download from the Internet Archive by Rudolph R. Loew.
It's clear the person passed away, but the family shared it publicly. I think he used to charge for it.
You managed to get the RAM in, but faced another issue. You had to enable compatibility mode in BIOS. In one of the videos, someone mentioned discovering Ethernet drivers for the 98SE on an ASUS P5KPL-AM SE motherboard, but you can't locate them. I hope guides include all working driver links. I did manage to get the 7800 GTI working, though I still can't change the desktop settings—somehow the USB drivers were disabled, so I had to reinstall. The 4GB RAM you received with the motherboard caused a blue screen saying it wasn't compatible, but the 1GB RAM from eBay worked perfectly. You can share more details if you need a clearer picture of the error. You installed the 4GB patch.
