Vsync at 60 FPS might feel a bit too fast for some users.

It's too much effort, I think. I'm not going to argue about whether I should or shouldn't. My goal is just to avoid any chance of losing performance while streaming. I haven't even set up my chroma key yet, and adding an animated border over my facecam only makes things worse.

Some CPU spikes are typical. In fact, Battlefield 5 can push my CPU usage to 100% across all cores when I start it or during loading, but it usually returns. If you're planning an upgrade and just play games, I’d recommend trading in your 9700K and board for a 10600K and a solid Z490 board—such as a Z490 Gaming Edge WIFI or Z490 Vision G. The performance gap between these chips isn’t huge, but you’d be able to go further if you wait for Zen 3. I’m not guaranteeing better gaming results than Intel, but it’s possible.

I'm focusing on sustained performance rather than spikes. Keeping usage around 60% during ship-to-ship battles is fine, but pushing it to 70% isn't something I'd consider for regular play. This isn't just about gaming; it's about streaming where extra bandwidth is crucial.

It influences CPU load during streaming, but the impact varies based on settings and hardware.

It's not an improvement for better speed, but a change to avoid losing performance while streaming.

You're leveraging nvec, which means the encoding burden stays on the hardware encoder with minimal impact on performance. CPU utilization remains typical, just an additional CPU demand.

I haven't checked the comparison with x264 and NVENC. I've been using NVENC since I began streaming three weeks ago. I hit Affiliate and just want to confirm everything stays clear.

The main aim is to locate the most affordable method to avoid performance drops without needing a major overhaul right now. In this case, investing $9.9 million seems like the best option, but I can actually get one for $380.

It's not a better upgrade, just push through with the 9700k. You're right, the 9900k won't fix your issues. Wait for Zen 3, and aim for 12 or 16 cores.
