I'm just a newcomer to CPU overclocking. I've only tried the automatic settings in BIOS, which suggest 4.9 GHz on one core reaches around 80°C and all cores hit 4.9 GHz at about 100°C. I'm close to 100°C already and using a Kraken X62. I'm really nervous about going too far and damaging the CPU, but I need tips for a stable overclock with manageable temperatures. Do anyone have any guides that could help? Thanks!

Review your bios for accuracy and verify settings. Adjusting manually is possible, but auto-OC can be tricky.
