I have strong airflow in my setup and am running stock clock. However, it's spiking to 62°C and the throttle kicks in. My motherboard is an Asrock 970 Pro3 R2.0.

I noticed the VRM on my motherboard isn't managing the power use of my CPU, causing it to overheat and trigger thermal throttling to protect itself.

The effect on your temperatures depends on removing the side panel, but it generally allows for better airflow and cooling.

Is the system running on a stock cooler? The chip isn't suitable for 8xx chips because of its 4+1 power phase and absence of a heatsink. What activity are you performing on your machine when it reaches 62°C? Stress testing?

I own a cooler master 212. It works well in games such as Witcher and Crysis.

Is the current speed matching what you expect? It seems odd since your FX 6300 uses just 30% during Witcher 3. Check the video link provided.
