You're considering upgrading your system to a 16GB RAM setup. Since you already have 8GB, adding more will definitely improve performance, especially for gaming. It's a worthwhile investment if you want smoother gameplay and better multitasking.

Completely essential for intense gaming? Probably not. Great for handling multiple tasks and more than one Chrome window? Definitely. Current RAM costs are reasonable, making it worth the investment.

Prices are affordable right now, it's convenient. In the near future, every game will require more RAM.

I don’t have the exact details, but a similar model with 8GB storage, matching frequency, CAS latency, and voltage is available from another vendor. Just verify compatibility before purchasing.

It mainly comes down to your usage patterns. I’d consider adding another 8GB, particularly when prices are low.

Also you get a slight bump in bandwidth going from single to dual channel which in some instances can make a difference but usually doesn't actually matter. https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/1349-...nel/Page-3

Verify each of the four settings (tRCD, tRP, iRAS). About 90% of cases should work fine.
