I just installed a new CPU and motherboard, the i7-12700k and the MSI MAG B760 tomahawk. I was thinking about using my old power supply (750W), but it only has one 8-pin CPU. On Amazon I found dual MOLEX to 8-pin adaptors—do they work safely? I have two spare sets of wires, though I’m not sure if I really need them right now. I’m also using a 2070 at the moment.

Only connect the 1x8pin EPS CPU power connector. It supports a continuous current of 225w. This exceeds the typical usage at full load. For heavy overclocking, you should use the additional cable. The remaining pins are not required.
