Someone can share their experience on running Windows 11 with a 7th generation CPU. It seems to be slow and laggy, making the update worth considering despite challenges. Being part of the dev versions or previous Windows 11 users has made the issue even more noticeable.

Dev builds act as early versions of software. They shouldn't be relied upon to assess final retail results. Their behavior should align closely with what you see on Windows 10. Blaming the processor for slow performance in beta is too broad. Possible reasons include: drivers, storage speed (HDD/SSD), RAM, and other factors.

I've tested the dev version on my 6700k using a clean install; it's performed well. Running it on my original 6600u worked fine as well. Since these processors aren't officially supported, I'm uncertain about future updates with the final release. If updates arrive, I shouldn't have any problems once it launches.
