7th generation E7 processor motherboard compatible with 8xxx V4 series CPUs.
Hello, I'm searching for motherboards compatible with my (4) E7-8894 V4. I own several SM X10 2011-3 dual systems equipped with E26xx v3 and v4 chipsets, as well as experience with X9 boards. Recently, I discovered the 4-E7-8894 V4 24/48 chipset and am interested in finding something I can install or run locally at home. I need four sockets and standard high-end power supplies that are still widely available. Although specifications like LGA 2011 v3 with a 612 chipset often come up, I'm eager to see a board I can assemble without breaking the bank or diving too deep into server configurations. Please help me out in advance. Imagine a quad-core system using four E7-8894 V4 boards delivering 96 cores and 192 threads. Performance specs: 24 cores, 48 threads, base frequency 2.40 GHz, turbo up to 3.40 GHz. Here’s a link to the chip details: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...0-ghz.html This appears to be the only option I found, but it’s quite complex due to risers and add-on cards plus server power supplies. The Supermicro X10QBi board is another possibility: https://www.supermicro.com/en/products/m...ard/X10QBi. Thanks again, Steve! Also curious if anyone has tried this setup—it would be great to find a more affordable dual solution. OPPS CAPS OFF...
