For heavy coding, drawing, and animation work, the 7950X is ideal. If gaming and creative tasks are your main focus, the 7950X3D offers a better option.

Sure, the 3D is definitely there, offering a lot of multi-core benefits even without 3D. The gaming improvement is quite noticeable.

Seems ideal for the 7950x3D setup. I've increased it to up to 5.9GHz on the regular CCD (CCD1) where CCD0 uses a fixed multiplier capped at 5.25GHz. The typical boost for CCD1 is around 5.75GHz, but I often notice +5.8GHz. Most of it stays between 4.7 and 4.8GHz. CCD0 is limited by temperature, while CCD1 is restricted by TDP, sitting at -20C from CCD0. A great chip for those aiming beyond 8c/16t but mainly focused on gaming. Cores 0-7 are 3D, 8-15 are non-3D.
