Play for 7950x all day whenever the price drops to 100, especially if you can find a deal on a board that includes RAM. Both scoring around 38k in R23 and the 7950x offering all performance cores make it perfect for gaming—far more than sufficient.

I assume you're not using a low resolution setting. Higher options like 1440p, ultrawide, or 4K won't significantly change the comparison. If you need performance for work tasks, focus on benchmarks relevant to the programs you use. I tend to prefer the 13900k, but it really doesn't matter. They're quite similar in terms of capability.
