I'm curious about which option performs better. 6000 CL30 at 298€ in Mindfactory and 6400 CL32 at 239€ in Mindfactory seem viable. The 6000 CL30 might also fit with the 6400 CL32, while the 6600 isn't suitable for AMD. EDIT: Overclocker claims they're in the same category, both supporting 7000 CL32 at 1.50V, but that's irrelevant since AMD only reaches up to 6400-6600.

Yea, I know that's why I didn't wait for expo, I will try your settings I guess. Yea, I know that's why I didn't wait for expo, also gigabyte do list 16gb kits with same timing and clock as mine so I assumed 32gb will be fine but maybe I assumed wrong. It seems my xmp setting but set to 6000mt/s so 6000 cl32 is working, I guess that's fine, isn't really worth fiddling with the settings. Maybe gigabyte will update the bios more and then it will work, it seems they hard at work on that, they released like 6 bios updates since launch so I can hope lol. edit: i got it up to 6200mt/s with about the same timings so thats great almost as good as the xmp, maybe gigabyte will fix this but its really really close now anyways

I need to upgrade my 6000 CL36 anyway; they’re also unstable when paired with a fan. I’m considering buying a 6000 CL30 or 6400 CL32, but the latter is significantly cheaper. A guy on Overclockers.com told me they’re essentially identical. I’ll share my observations. My board is the same. Are there modules in the second and fourth slots from left to right? Have you experimented with UCLK set to MEMCLK divided by two? It’s possible the Infinity fabric is limiting performance. These chips are supposed to support DDR5-6400-6600 (up to 3200-3300 MHz), but some CPUs might only reach DDR5-6200 (3200 MHz). It could also be that the newest BIOS version F8a can’t handle more than 6000-6200. The previous one, F7, doesn’t even support 5200—only 4800. You’re still unclear about the 16GB/32GB numbers on the Gigabyte site. The listings are for a single module only. It was confusing at first, but having module names helps you see options like 16GB meaning either one 16GB or two 8GB modules, while kits usually come with two. G.Skill also calls them G16 for two 16GB units. With DDR4, they named it 32 for two 16GB, unlike DDR4-era models that used “2x16GB.” I’d prefer a 6200. No one promises support for 6400 on AMD. Gigabyte’s specs say: This is because for chips above 5600 you need the latest BIOS F8a, which wasn’t available at launch. I also tried F7 (originally F6) and 5200 boots, but after a reset it freezes in black. So 4800 is the maximum on any BIOS other than F8a. Or perhaps that’s just my memory. They also mention: “So as I said, it depends on your CPU.” To verify if your CPU can run at 6400, try setting UCLK to MEMCLK divided by two.

Yea, I have them at the 2nd and the 4th slots ofc. Didn't try UCLK=MEMCLK/2, I will today ty! I see what you say about memory support so yea it seems like 6400 cl32 32gb should work. Would love to see if you manage to get it working with same MB. But as you said gigabyte kinda says it may vary based on cpu, so even if it works for you, it may not work for me. But yea got it to 6266 mt/s so thats freaking close, so not really an issue. But I will UCLK=MEMCLK/2 just out of curiosity. Thanks!
