I completed the build some time ago and believe my thermal paste application on the 7800x3d was subpar. With an nhd15s, idle runs between 45-50, but it jumps to nearly 60 when I use it. Maybe a reapplication is needed? I have good airflow, three exhausts, and three intakes.
It’s really hot—there’s a huge temperature rise, and I’m not sure if it’s typical based on what I heard.
That isn't an unusual temperature jump. A crazy rise would mean dropping from 40-50s to 95-100c, which is extreme. Anything below 75c is typical for loading apps or handling downloads. Intel shows the same pattern when opening files and downloading—this is completely normal behavior.
Run the script and check your heart rates during a 10 to 30 minute session. Use this info to assess whether your levels are normal or need attention.
