Alright, so i have a 7700k and a Gigabyte Aorus Z270 Gaming K5... so im having this really wierd issue that can't seem to find a solution to it
im trying to overclock the CPU i set the multiplier to 50 in the bios and set up the voltage, LLC and everything else i boot into windows and CPU-z only shows 8-45 multiplier HWinfo, HW monitor Task manager Real temp core temp and every monitoring app that came to my mind show similar clock speeds. even though in the bios it is set to 5Ghz i boot back into bios and in the quick view it shows the correct overclocked 5000mhz and correct voltage
so what gives? i updated the bios disabled EIST and most power state settings intel speedstep and intel speed shift
i tried lower overclock at 4.8 same problem
i tried using the "upgrade cpu profiles" and it didnt help
Oh and also CPU-Z and other monitoring apps shows the new voltage that has been set up when overclocking but not the clock speeds
Thanks for your time! i hope we can find a solution to this weird problem

Verify your Windows processor power settings.
There, you need to adjust the highest processor speed to 5000.

Verify your Windows processor power settings. There, adjust the maximum processor speed to 5000. I’m having trouble finding the option to modify the MHz, but it’s currently set at 100%.
