Thanks for the update. I've adjusted my 7700hq to -105mV and used an ASUS GL502vs with a 1070. So far, turning off BDPROCHOT and setting speedshift EPP to "0" is helping. However, I'm curious about why my CPU keeps multiplying by 8 even when it shouldn't be throttling or power-saving mode activating.
Dell and Asus have both sent many laptop models experiencing this issue. Once you remove the BD PROCHOT box, does your multiplier ever remain stuck at 8X? Clearing it usually resolves the problem quickly. The Limit Reasons window should indicate if BD PROCHOT is causing throttling. BD PROCHOT refers to a bi-directional processor hot signal that tells your CPU other components can restrict performance directly. This forces the CPU to operate at its lowest multiplier. If this occurs, your CPU temperature becomes irrelevant. Over time, faulty sensors can permanently lock your CPU at high speeds like 800 MHz. Your warranty may be expired, so unless you plan to replace the motherboard and power supply, you’ll likely need to keep using ThrottleStop.
