750w power supply for gold components and automatic restart near peak performance
Hello, it seems I’ll likely need a more efficient PSU first. Until then, here’s what’s been happening with my system. When I run at 4K, depending on the game (Star Citizen or similar demanding titles), the computer keeps restarting but doesn’t actually boot. There’s a GPU error message, and the power supply is failing completely—no power at all. My system runs at 3900x with an EDC bug for a long time. It has around 11 fans, including two push-pull radiators, and the pump is working fine. All BIOS and drivers are up to date. I suspect I’m approaching the PSU’s limit, so I’ll be careful. Edit 1
The 6800XT consumes a bit more power than the Vega 64, yet the difference isn't significant. Lowering the GPU power cap by 5-10% usually doesn't cause crashes.
