I have a 620 chipset so no PBO. I need to find the closest undervolt to PBO-30. Also, for those with a 65W CPU, what power does a Cinebench R23 multicore run at 90W under PBO-30? For example, my stock 7500F uses 90 watts and stays stable at 90W even after 15-20 minutes in a hot, humid room without air conditioning.

The closest setting will be PBO at -30V, since you can't enable PBO. It would only offer minor gains, maybe reaching 95°C and staying there, as the CPU can't overclock much further if you let off some heat. Probably won’t push it higher unless you manage to lower a bit more. My 5600 handles over 65W in Cinebench with PBO active and negative voltage offset—though I don’t recall the exact value, Ryzen Master says it’s around -5.

The issue is identifying the undervolt that matches PBO -30, then checking if using a -0.05 UV is comparable.

It doesn’t seem like -30 represents an exact core voltage value. Probably you’d need to experiment with what happens when you apply -30 PBO to a CPU, but even then it’s hard to rely on results since CPUs don’t all draw the same amount of power. As for why you might want to replicate that voltage drop, it makes sense if you’re trying to understand its impact rather than just testing a fixed number. Instead of forcing a specific voltage, you could try gradual undervolting and observe the effects.

Offsets and voltages are distinct concepts. Feel completely at ease experimenting with underclocking your CPU—check for stability and performance—and observe any noticeable gains before deciding.

I've noticed that lowering the SoC voltage to 1.15V or below noticeably changes power consumption for the IOD, allowing more wattage to go to the CCD(s). This typically reduces draw from around 18W to about 12W. I've begun applying this adjustment on nearly all AM5 boards I've assembled, usually around 6-7 at the moment. The R23 on every 7600 tends to run in the low 5GHz range, but I mainly use it for testing my setup rather than just watching clock speeds. Most of the 7600 units I own are either cooled with powerful fans or need slight underclocking to keep temperatures down for SFF builds.

I believe I should reword this for clarity. You're looking for an approximate idea of what a PBO value of -30 would translate to in manual UV, without needing precise numbers. It's about understanding the relative scale rather than exact values. If you apply a manual UV of -0.05 volts, the PBO would be comparable. The key is the direction and magnitude, not the exact figure.

I'm looking to understand how PBO-30 compares to a standard UV setting. If I run a UV at -0.05, what would that translate to in PBO terms?

I acknowledge your concern, though it's challenging to provide a clear response. If you consult Copilot, it indicates -30 as a reduction of 30% in voltage. However, I haven't found a solid confirmation. Your point is valid—voltage varies between CPUs, so no single value applies universally.

Alright thanks. Someone tell me on reddit, its 3mv to 5mv for each pbo step, so according to him it could be .09 to .150 v for a pbo -30
