I installed my i7 3770k into a Lenovo ThinkCenter that originally came with an i5 2500. I heard 7 beeps and then everything worked fine once I swapped back the CPU. Can you try swapping it again and see if it functions properly?

Bios is current, but I don’t have the exact PC model. Could you provide more details?
