I wouldn't classify it under the unoptimized games section. They seem to have handled it well.

I've heard some complaints about it. They managed to give it a decent appearance on the consoles, but the PC demands really turn it into a joke. How did they pull off such a good look? Mostly people with various problems came up, especially around how the game functions. They raised the expectations a lot, and honestly, there are more visually appealing titles out there that don’t even need half the VRAM to run.

I tested both Ultra and high textures and didn’t see any variation in my area. It seems it only activates when you have a substantial amount of VRAM—around 6GB. My performance stayed consistent and didn’t appear different.

Sure thing. . . I don’t usually act that way, but I just set everything to lock at 60. I’ll handle it after finishing 2033.

No noticeable difference in frame rate was observed when switching between Ultra and High textures.

I was also concerned my rig wouldn't cope with this game. Surprisingly, with an i5-4590 and a 2GB 270x, I managed to run it at a high performance. It runs smoothly, averaging around 45 frames per second. Occasionally it dips a bit, but never becomes problematic or distracting. I could even push it to Ultra mode without a noticeable change. A minor dip in FPS is there, but nothing too significant. This game has impressive specs, yet still works well for me. Anything that reaches over 30 frames per second is great for me—it feels smooth and fun to play.

You asked about how resolution changes with screen size. On larger displays, the difference between 1080 and 50 inches appears distinct.

It is configured to operate at Ultra quality, but will retain the label Ultra if the HD content isn't available.

CAN SOMEONE TEST THIS! http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-rep...&p=39#r768 "Just a quick note for SLI users who are keen to get both GPU's in play. The F.E.A.R 3 profile works perfectly well for this game. I'm having both cards work at above 90% and the improvement is massive. It uses the cards very well (no idea why it was not sorted prior to release.... given its such a simple change). Use NVidia inspector to create a new profile for shadowofmordor.exe (think that was it's name under the games x64 directory) and set the SLi bits to the FEAR3 profile. With 2x GTX680's I'm now running on high/ultra for most settings at about 60FPS on a 1440p screen. I use g-sync so can't give a direct opinion on how smooth it will be for most. From the steam community website: 1)GO to Nvidia Inspector 2) Select Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor 3)Than go to Add application to current profile than brower and select Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor.exe. 4) Last and final select Fear 3 on SLI bits Compatibility bits(Dx1x) and than hit apply."

You have a 2GB card, but I doubt you'll attempt that.
