I recently assembled a new 6600k skylake system and have just begun exploring overclocking. The build includes a 6600k msi carbon pro gamer with 16gb corsair led 2666 memory. I successfully overclocked the CPU to 4.5 ghz at 1.16 volts. Testing it with AIDA64 for 12 hours showed no issues, and I played for another 8 hours without problems. During the 12-hour AIDA64 session, the maximum temperature reached was 57°C. Is this typical performance or does it indicate a very capable chip?

I believe this falls within the typical range, maybe even excellent. I’d like to know if you can push it a little further. The safe voltage should be around 1.35, but I think you might achieve impressive outcomes at 1.25 as well.
