64GB RAM with four DIMM slots for the Ryzen 3900X.
Hello. I'm curious if there are any issues with performance or cutting speeds after installing 64GB RAM in all four available slots. The configuration would be two 16GB modules in each of the two dimensions. For the Asus ROG Strix X570 Gaming-E, which supports up to 128GB and has four slots, can you suggest a reference for optimal RAM usage for heavy productivity tasks? This topic is often discussed, but I'd appreciate your expertise. Cheers.
Sure, I can help with that. What are your current specs and what RAM you're considering?
Hi SavageNeo. Thanks for the reply. I'm looking to purchase RAM and have these requirements: a build tailored for work with 3D modeling, ArchViz rendering, post production, and CAD tasks. A high-performance machine is needed—Fractal Meshify C Front, 2x intake NF-A14PWM, 140mm top, 2x exhaust NF-A14PWM, rear 1x NF-A12x25PWM 120mm CPU, NH-U12A MOBO, Asus X570 ROG Strix Gaming-E CPU, Ryzen 3900X, RAM to choose between G.Skills Tridentz or Neo, 3600MHz CL16 or 3200MHz CL14 PSU, Seasonic Focus Prime 750W 80+ gold, SSDs (Samsung) and HDDs (Seagate), GPU with RTX 4000.
I located my RAM modules. It will be 2x16GB = 32GB RAM (in the coming months I plan to purchase another set of these). This will bring the total to 64GB across all four slots on this motherboard. Hello. Thank you for your reply. I'm not a big supporter of other RAM brands—Corsair or G.Skill work best. G.Skill is my top choice.
due to the appearance? since none of those are made by the manufacturer themselves... it's typically Hynix or Samsung, though Hynix is more common. usually I go for some CJR kits then, at least. unless you really don't like the look of crucial ballistic kits, I don't see a reason not to use them.
I don’t have anything against Crucial. However, g.skills seems to work well. The appearance won’t provide much improvement—it’s mainly due to the design theme. I’ve purchased g.skill for a long time now.
I'm discussing price talks with nearby stores in Portugal.
