Looking for a 64GB kit compatible with a 5900X. I'm trying to understand CAS latency and MHz, but it's still unclear which specs are best. Any advice would be appreciated!

Consider 3600Mhz and CL16 to CL18 DDR4. Dual channel setup. It shouldn't be too tough. Lower clock speeds are preferable. Higher MHz are better.

That's what I considered too. I was unsure about which brands offered the best value. I was leaning toward G-Skill or Corsair Vengeance.

The brands aren't crucial, it's more about delays and frequency. There are several good options such as Adata, Kingston, Crucial, Goodram, and Patriot. RAM is considered one of the most reliable parts.

For a 64GB system, opt for 3200MHz RAM as a more secure choice. You're likely using them at dual frequency, and I'm not entirely confident the Ryzen 5000 can handle that setup at 3600MHz.

It's often feasible to reduce RAM speed, yet a 64GB 3600Mhz system tends to be pricier than its 3200Mhz counterpart. In my area, the 3600 CL18 64GB model is listed at 261€, while the 3200 CL16 64GB version comes in at 253€. That’s why I’d likely choose the higher-speed option...
