The goal is to make Catalyst believe the 32bit version is active and then apply the correct application profile. This method was previously needed in WoW before AMD introduced profiles for 64bit builds. My idea is that the 64bit game might lack a proper driver optimization profile or it could be faulty. I'm not sure if this is correct.
