Yes, an i5-6200U and a 940M can handle Minecraft and Rocket League smoothly at 60+ FPS on medium settings. This setup offers a great balance of performance and value for your budget of around $650.

Maybe? I haven't used that specific equipment before, so I'm not sure.

It's actually quite simple to play, particularly with mods enabled.

I also enjoy playing Minecraft with mods. I wasn't expecting it to be an issue like in Rocket League.

I'm not sure. My friend seems to match those exact details, possibly even worse, and he mentioned he couldn't play Rocket League.

I can handle a complete FTB pack on an i3; the GPU is decent but not ideal. Mc should work just fine. Rocket League should run smoothly on that CPU, though you might want to check some benchmarks for it using a 940 MHz processor.

I just changed my desktop's graphics card from an HD 7850 to a GTX 950 and saw a noticeable boost in frame rate. It’s unclear how much better the modded version would be compared to the original, but I’m not sure Minecraft’s performance is entirely unaffected by the GPU. That sounds a bit disappointing...
