Can include factors that increase CPU heat. Your setup might need a higher VID based on SenseMi methods. Regardless, idle temperatures don’t matter to me. Wouldn’t it help if you ran Prime95 and shared the peak temperatures for a clearer comparison?

I don't own prime95 before; it didn't work for me. Now I have a CPU Z, and the temperatures stay around 85°C, which isn't a big concern even though that's high for a liquid cooler.

Does this 85°C reading match your brother's? If yes, there are no problems. The 85°C works well on that cooler. A similar stock heatsink would also be suitable. RGB is nice too, as you can see on the left side—night theme looks great.

It seems idle temperatures aren't the main concern. I thought 85°C was acceptable, but I was hoping for something cooler when purchasing a 100 water cooler compared to my CPU. That doesn't feel right, right?

Users often mistake socket readings from the chipset for actual CPU temperatures, such as Kaine's example. The real CPU temperature varies—your 3800X socket stays around 40℃ when idle and up to 60℃ during stress tests, while Ryzen Master shows cores at 80℃+.
