5V RGB header design
I recently acquired an EK-Nucleus AIO CR240 Lux D-RGB AIO to connect with my ASUS Prime Z370-A motherboard. The problem is that the RGB header for the pump and fans needs a 5V ARGB 3-pin connector, while my board only has a single 12V RGB 4-pin header. I’m looking for a third-party solution to make it work. My PC case has no lights except for the motherboard and pump/fans. My main questions are: Would a Razer controller help coordinate everything? (I’m not too concerned about the case lights but would appreciate syncing) Can I adjust colors with a Razer controller/synapse? Are there better alternatives, such as a 12V to 5V adapter? It's surprising to see ASUS Mobo moving away from the 3-pin header. The manual clearly shows only a single 4-pin RGB slot now. It makes more sense to manage all RGB through one app like Razer Synapse3, letting you adjust each header individually for your taste. In a way, getting a new mobo is the best option. Sarcastically, you might want a fresh setup. The simpler cable management and unified control from one interface add value, especially since your keyboard and mouse are already in their ecosystem.
I thought the most effective solution was using the Razer Chroma Addressable RGB Controller... or maybe a fresh motherboard, hehe. Placing the controller should get everything working smoothly and syncing well with Synapse. Thanks for your assistance @ImWilly
