Greetings. We experienced unstable internet despite using a standard 2.4GHz router. Back then, 2.4GHz worked fine for a few months, but recently it has become unreliable. They upgraded us to a 5GHz router. I encountered issues on both my PC and mobile devices—YouTube would freeze at times, Instagram wouldn’t load, and on the PC, websites felt slower compared to the previous setup. When I searched online, links would appear suddenly, similar to what you see in PowerPoint. They concluded the issue was with the router. A new router was provided, but problems persisted on my PC, especially after a few attempts to refresh. On mobile, the feed would load after several tries, but still faced issues. The internet box at the building’s bottom is fine, and signal checks inside the house are normal. They attempted channel switching, but nothing worked. Streaming on YouTube was slow initially, with only 30fps smooth scrolling and difficulty seeing content on the scrollbar. On Instagram, I had to scroll slowly and move the dots repeatedly. Can I do anything about this, or should I contact them for assistance?

Edit: Could a slower PC be causing these slow links or throttling issues? Downloads are excellent. Other devices like my Samsung have similar problems, while my Xiaomi performs better. I’ve heard Samsung routers often struggle with internet speed.

Who refers to them? From the context it seems you mean your ISP, isn't it correct?
Who provides internet connectivity? Ask about the details of your network hardware: modem, router, combined modem/router, switches, APs, etc.
Give a basic diagram illustrating the connections: use an Ethernet cable where ----> stands for a physical link.
For instance:
Connection path looks like this:
ISP (coax, DSL, fiber) → Modem → [WAN Port] → Router → [LAN Port] → LAN ports → wired network devices (possibly a switch or AP).
Switch/AP LAN ports connect to other wired devices.
Router connects to wireless devices via ~~~~~.
Feel free to adjust your example to reflect your actual setup. Also run "ipconfig /all" on your computer and share the complete output.
