Hi everyone! I'm based in Calgary, Alberta, using a Roger's network. It looks like I'm getting 5G in many parts of the city now—maybe it's real 5G or something else. Curious to know if others on different Canadian networks are experiencing similar results!

Does your device belong to a network provider? You can check its performance using a speed test.

It seems you're planning to switch your phone soon. https://financialpost.com/telecom/rogers...-and-towns By the time it's ready, Rogers has started in 50 new locations, expanding Canada’s 5G coverage significantly. Here are some of the areas they’ve launched in: British Columbia, Abbotsford-Mission, Burnaby, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Courtenay, Delta, Kamloops, Kelowna, Langley, Maple Ridge, Nanaimo, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Oliver, Osoyoos, Penticton, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Salmon Arm, Surrey, Vancouver, Vernon, Victoria, West Vancouver, White Rock, Alberta (Calgary), Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Saskatchewan (Regina), and Saskatchewan (Saskatoon).

It would logically be for Rogers to attempt acquiring clients from Shaw's market. Telus hasn't launched 5G services publicly.
